Now the scale of the flooding in Janesville is no where near the scale of what has happened in Iowa, but the images and movies are still pretty compelling:

Man, that is the Rock River, I’m guessing? Google maps seems to put you about half a mile from there, but I couldn’t find what the elevation is. About how much higher than the river are you?

Yup. Rock River. It runs right through town.

I know that we’re actually on the top of the hill, relative to the river, but I’m having a hard time finding our elevation as well. I’m going to try and find it through Google Earth.

I would guess those fish are grass carp. It appears they’re actually feasting on grass!
